DEIB - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging. Like so many of our beloved acronyms and loaded terms, these words are often thrown right into conversations, strategies, and initiatives without ever being properly defined or explored. And, in an area that is already rich with misunderstandings, misconceptions, and confusions, lack of common definition can become stagnating for progress.

Luckily, the solution is simple. Define the terms and why professional organizations care about them.

In this session, we will dive into the definitions of each of the DEIB terms and how each adds a unique value to building productive, engaging, safe work environments. We will then take the conversation a step further and explore why these concepts are so critical to organizations through their connection to top business metrics such as revenue, costs, liability, and customer / membership volumes.
