Description
In professional environments, DEIB challenges can manifest in many ways. Luckily, recognizing these manifestations and why they occur enables us to address them.
Some are easy to spot. They show up in numbers, such as pay inequity or hiring inequity. And some are a little harder to diagnose or are frequently misdiagnosed because the numbers only show part of the story. Three common examples are PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT, OPPORTUNITY INEQUITY, and MICROAGGRESSIONS.
In this session, we will explore preferential treatment, opportunity inequity, and microaggressions. What they are, where they come from, how to spot them, and techniques that we can all use, as leaders, managers, influencers, and colleagues, to address them.
